Ciders & Fizz

Once again we will be offering something to give our drinkers a break from the ale and have partnered up with Meon Valley Cider and Lilley's Ciders to offer you some excellent Ciders and Perrys.

Last year Meon Valley Cider made their Portchester Beer Festival debut and their locally brewed cider went down a storm, so much so that we asked them back for our Cider & Sausage Festival! This year they will be bringing along their regular Chalkstream as well as some new products for you to try.

Lilley's are a national company who we have been using as one of our cider suppliers for our drinks festivals for the past few years, they offer a vast array of ciders in their catalogue and we have hand picked some of the best. There will be scrumpy, perry and fruit ciders on offer and a guarantee that there will be something for everyone!

Something for the ladies now - although last year it went down well with one particular table of window fitters!

Our Prosecco Cart will be situated in the main hall again this year, offering cold sparkling Prosecco by the glass. This will be available throughout the day while stocks last!

Sneaky Beer Peek no.8

Our last sneaky peek before the big day comes from one of our regular sponsors, Upham Brewery and is aptly named Last Suspect. This is 3.8% chestnut ale which is described on the Upham Brewery website as soft in flavour and colour. Smooth and very easy drinking . Predominately Maris Otter malt with a sprinkling of amber ale malt, aromatic malt and a touch of light crystal. Hopped using solely UK home grown hops.

Sneaky Beer Peek no.7

Flack Manor is another of our new suppliers this year. The Romsey based brewery will be debuting 3 of their finest permanent ales at the festival including Hedge Hop. At a respectable 4.5%, the rich amber colour reveals a deep biscuity maltiness balanced with exotic fruits and spiciness from Challenger, Pilot and English new world Cascade hops.

We agree that anything involving biscuits, exotic fruits and spiciness is a sure winner!

Sneaky Beer Peek no.6

Another returning ale is Bowman Ale's Yumi. Pronounced Yoo-me and originating from the ancient Japanese Samurai warriors, a powerful bamboo long bow, with an off-centre grip. Their wonderful Blonde is a single-hopped bitter with a clean, crisp taste. At 3.9% its offers something lighter for our wonderful guests
